Patterned Response Greeting Cards | Self-Motivated Project | 2008

These greeting cards feature type and ligatures, used to create decorative patterns. Each card consists of patterns built of two or three letters from the sentiment written on the card. These patterns were then laid into a grid (based on the number of patterns for each card) and divided using solid bars. The logo was constructed from a similar set of letterforms (using the P and R from Patterned Response). The overall color palette was chosen to convey a feeling of exuberance. The cards were printed on an off-white card stock, and are blank inside. They are paired with blue and cream envelopes made from lightly flecked recycled paper.
