This project is an exploration of the various symbolic and perceptual meanings of jewelry. I selected items out of my own collection that fit into meaningful categories, and wrote mini essays about each one. Then I took photographs of the items selected to accompany the text. I designed the framework of the book in simple black and white to reflect elegance and to allow the pieces of jewelry to be emphasized. The pages are printed on thick, white linen stock, and then bound together using crystal beads to add an additional element of glamour.
